There were more people in the pool today than usual, probably because it’s getting warmer. I got stuck in a lane with a rather large woman slowly propelling herself with a kickboard. On my third lap I was rudely confronted mid-stroke by this woman yelling at me to “stay on my side” of the lane. I wanted to stop right there and say:
“Are you kidding me?!?!?! Lady, you are floating around on a kickboard in a lane that is clearly marked “FAST LANE”, PLUS you’re not swimming in the lane pattern your supposed to!!!!!”
But instead I swam around the floating whale and completed my 10 laps. Or at least I think I swam 10 laps. I was so pissed at the woman that I lost count. I need to start going to the pool at 5:30am to avoid these aggravations.
